Eric

And he said:

"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the LORD."

Job 1:21

Eric went home to be with the Lord today. Please pray for his grieving family and our church family.

God is good, all the time. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Dear Davis Family, y'all are in our prayers! I cannot begin to imagine the grief you must feel at the loss of your beloved father and husband.
All I can say is that the Lord's ways are perfect and He will never leave you or forsake you. He is faithful always. All we can do is lean on His everlasting arms, and look forward to that day when we will all meet together in Glory - face to face with the King of Love.

God be with each of you. Love and blessings from all of us here in Illinois.

A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance.."

Heather, kids & Friends of Eric,

I was reminded ot this rendition of Amazing Grace by Chris Tomlin as I mourn the loss of Eric.

He will be sourly missed over the coming days, months and years and yet the picture of his chains being removed as he entered the throne of grace is a comfort to me in my loss and pray it will be the same for you all.

The tears will continue to come and yet what a comfort we have as Eric was a recipeint of God's amazing grace

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
------Chris Tomlin

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine

You are forever mine

Oh Heather...We just heard about your loss this evening and it seems nearly impossible to find words.

Eric had a stronger appreciation and zeal for life than probably anyone I know. He could accomplish in a week what took most of us a year. He never lacked new ideas or better ways to solve a problem. He had an inspiring sense of spirit and adventure and the drive to complete whatever he set his mind. Yet somehow he always managed to stop and smell the flowers and truly enjoy the world the Lord gave us. He lived more in his short lifetime than most who will have surpassed him in years.

I am glad to have known him. I glad that he was a friend to our family and an example to our children. We are all so sorry for your loss and for the loss to your six beautiful children.

We rejoice in the knowledge that he is with his Creator and the Author of the world that he so deeply loved.

With sorrow and prayers,
