No real new information

I know many of you are looking for updates but there isn't much to report at this point. Eric did have a fever this morning of about 101 which has been brought down; the cause of the fever is unknown. He's on paralyzing medications so beyond the blood work that was drawn last night, no additional tests can be run for a 48 hour period.

The supervising doctor is working hard to bring in lots of specialists to examine Eric and review his lab results. Eric's been seen by a neurologist already, a kidney specialist and an infectious disease specialist have been contacted and along with others. The neurologist was pleased with his examination of Eric and offered a positive report at this time, though many more test results need to be examined in all areas.

Heather's parents are here. Great friends are caring for the children. Eric's mom is on her way. Praise God for family and friends!

Heather doesn't have access to a computer right now. If you'd like to post a message, we'll print them and get them to Heather on Sunday.

Please pray that Eric's body will continue to stabilize and that the cause of these events will be found!

I am praying. Fervently.

And I should let both of you (Heather and Lisa) know that we received the beautiful basket in the mail this week. Thank you so much!

God's grace on you ~

Here is the verse that I have by my kitchen sink right now: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." - Eph. 3:20

Heather, I pray these words give you comfort. Please let us know if there is anything you need help with.

"...God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” Hebrews 13:5

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
You, who unto Jesus for refuge have fled?

In every condition, in sickness, in health;
In poverty’s vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home and abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As thy days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.

Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.

Even down to old age all My people shall prove
My sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love;
And when hoary hairs shall their temples adorn,
Like lambs they shall still in My bosom be borne.

The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake.

Dear Davis Family,

You have been constantly (and I do mean constantly) in our prayers since we first heard about Eric's hospitalization yesterday. Josh and I both woke multiple times throughout the night, each time praying for Eric and for the rest of the family.

May the God of all comfort give you peace during this time. You are dearly loved and we will be bearing this burden with you in prayer before God's throne.

With love,
The Redin Family
