Sad Days

Another tragedy has occured at our home. Granted, this one can not compare to losing one's father or husband but it seems rather bad timing none the less. Our dog Copper whom we have had for six years died Wednesday morning.

I'm so sorry, Heather! Dogs are very special and can give such comfort, too. We continue to pray for you every day!

Heather,
Oh, I'm so sorry...I'm sure another loss just dredges up all of those raw emotions all over again and magnifies the pain in all of your hearts.I am praying that the God of hope will fill your hearts with comfort and more of HIM in the midst of another great loss. Praying that you will tangibly feel the love of God holding you up during this very challenging and sad time.
Praying for you,
kathi

I'm so sorry! God's timing sure doesn't seem perfect... but we know it is. We lost our dog of 9 years right before Tabby came home. Very sad. We'll add this to our list of things we're praying for your family.
Love,
Christine

My heart breaks for you and your family. I know they are just old dogs but they truly become such an important part of our lives! Last April our dog died and I still find myself in tears over her at times.

I pray that the purpose of the timing of Copper's death would become clear. Maybe in some way Copper's death will help you or the children in grieving the loss of husband and father.

I do think of you and your children often and will continue to pray for you.

Proverbs 3:5-8 "5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. 8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones."

Sincerely,
Mrs. Klause

Heather,
I am so sorry. This loss adds on to what you are already dealing with. We just lost one of our dogs last week, and it is very hard on both the adult and the kids. Especially as you have had the dog for so long. It is losing a member of your family. Continuing to pray for you!

I am so sorry! It is soooo difficult to loose a dog under normal circumstances, but on top of an already grieving family... Hound dogs are especially near and dear to my heart as we had one for nine years. Nothing compares!

We will continue to pray for your family as you adjust to life without Copper.

Heather,
Just a note to say that I too am sorry about your dog. They have a way of becoming one of the family and it hurts when they pass on. We may wonder what in the world God is possibly doing but I can assure you that He knows. "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" Jer 29:11. Somehow the loss is good for you, as strange and calloused as that sounds. But I am well aware that it doesn't feel that way to a broken heart. May God continue to bless you as you feel your way through the thick fog of grief.

Heather,
So much for all of you to deal with...I too am praying that our Father would wrap His loving arms around your family...

This verse from Job 13 immediately came to mind when I read your post...

"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him."

We are praying...
