Bless the Lord O My Soul

Psalm 103

A Psalm of David.
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s

I was having a particularly hard day yesterday. I needed to make some decisions and the choice was up to me. There were times in our marriage that I wished Eric had not been so opinionated. For instance, he wanted to have a say in how the house was decorated and when we built the addition we had many disagreements on what kind of tile we should buy or what color to paint the walls. Now that he is not here I am making these decisions on my own and it is painful. I like being able to choose what I want but the hard truth is that I get to make the decisions because he's not here.
So, while I was running around, getting things done yesterday I heard these verses being quoted on the radio. KLOVE was doing a short spot by an author who basically said that through some of her hardest times of life she was drawn to this passage of scripture.
How many times have I heard this passage and sang this passage in church! It was like a drink of fresh water. Fresh, living water....just what the Word is.
We all have our valleys. Some are deeper than others. If you are just now finding yourself in a valley, sitting patiently, or just about through your trial I pray that you will find the fresh, living truth in this passage.
Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits!

I love how the Lord speaks to so many of us through His word at the moment we now in my life the trials we have been going through...(although not on the same level as the trials of others, they have been tough just the same) and yes His word is so very refreshing and given to us at the right moment!

Thank you again for your faith and transparency...your family's trial is being used in the lives of so many; I think of you often and hold you in my prayers.

Love in Christ!!!

thank you for your honesty, always. Mark is very opinionated too and I often wish I could just make one decision, especially in decorating. This is a wonderful reminder to me to be thankful for Mark and his interest in our home.
Prayed for you all this morning and for Becca's safe return home.
