Christmas Letter

I tried. I tried and tried to get the annual Davis letter out for Thanksgiving. I had hoped to start a new tradition but only succeeded last year. Instead I am just thankful that I am getting a picture and letter out this year!
These are the pictures that we sent out with this year's letter...and, here is the letter:
Dear Family and Friends,
This is truly the hardest Christmas letter I have ever written. I have procrastinated long enough though. It is time for me to send our love to you all this Christmas season.
There are a few of you that are going to be shocked by the news of Eric's death. I am sorry for the delay. He knew so many and it is hard to share sad news.
Eric lived a full life. He loved fully and gave freely. Eric and I had just celebrated our twentieth year together. He gave me six incredible kids and an amazing amount of memories.
He was 41 when he died suddenly of bronchial asthma. We miss him dearly but we know where he is. This Christmas season we are here to celebrate the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ while Eric is sitting at the feet of his Savior knowing full well the beauty of his salvation.
I truly believe that Eric heard "Well done thou good and faithful servant".
The kids and I are doing well and yet grieving our loss. He was an incredible man who left us with a beautiful home, an encouraging church, and amazing friends who have surrounded us with their love.
Thank you for your prayers, letters, flowers, and financial support this past year. I will never be able to thank you all personally. May God bless you and
may you know the reason for the season.
~Heather

That's a great letter, Heather. And AMAZING pictures. Beautiful. I don't know if you sent the letter yet or not, but you wrote "though" instead of "thou" in "Thou good and faithful servant". I'm really not a nit-picker, I just thought that was something you would want to correct if you could!
Much love,
Melissa

Thank you Melissa. My typing error on the blog! I have changed it...thankfully it was not in the original letter!
I don't mind nit-picking...I sometimes read over my blog and can not believe that I didn't catch a silly typing error...that is why you will see corrections if you go back and read some of them (not all since I amazingly do not have time to do that!). Thanks :)

Cindy,
I used Photoshop Elements to create the cards. Love that software!
