Writer's Block

The last three posts have been incredibly serious in nature. Typically I like to have a bit of variety on this blog but I am having difficulty finding things to write about.
I have plenty to talk about but it all seems rather unimportant and rather mundane to read about. My to-do list is long and my brain is foggy with a head cold.
So, I thought I would ask you...is there anything that you would like to ask?
Anything that you would like me to post about?
This is your chance!
You can either email me at
lazydranch@prodigy.net
or leave a comment.

In the meantime, I am going to work on that to-do list and just enjoy the life that God has blessed me with.

I've been wondering about the secret to contentment, it would seem you're in a peculiar place to speak on it. I'm sure you have had, being a widow, those dark nights of the soul. How've you overcome them?

I would like to know how you and Eric met. If it is too hard for you to tell I understand. I just found your blog about a year ago, and I have been following it ever since. You have encouraged, inspired, and motivated me with your faith and LOVE. I pray blessings for you and your beautiful children.

First I want to say that you and your lovely family is in my prayers. I was wondering how the children are doing? And where you will be going on you USA Tour?

Well, personally, I like pictures. I like words or stories on a blog but a combination of pictures and words is great. I put lots of pictures on my blog. Pictures of what? I don't know. Travel, day to day, old, new, your home, etc.
I have certainly enjoyed all of your posts, with or without pictures.

I'd love to hear more of your adoption story. How you decided, what reservations or fears you may have had, how it's so far turned out with the children compared to what you may have thought it would be like.

I'd also love to hear about your adoption story and also how you and Eric met, if that wouldn't be too difficult to write about.

Heather, I wanted to know something else (I just thought about it as I was reading your last post) - would be lovely if you posted your testimony of how you came to know the Lord for yourself.

Ok, here are my questions ... the silly and the serious:

1) cookies or cookie dough?
2) everyday: makeup or no makeup?
3) favorite Psalm?
4) how do you motivate your kids to obedience and responsibility?
5) hobbies?
6) if you wrote a letter to the Heather of 25 years ago, what would you say?
7) favorite ice cream/dessert?
8) do you prefer solitude or a party full of friends?
9) Ah-ha moments in your relationship with God?
10) what struggles do you face in raising African children in the culture of USA?
11) Worrier or laid back?
12) nuts in your brownies or plain?

:) Is that enough questions to get you thinking?
