Prayers Needed

Once again I come to you, my blogging friends, and ask that you pray.   Yes, I still need your prayers but a dear friend of mine, Kendra, is right now sitting next to her seven week old baby in the PICU at a local children's hospital.  He is in critical condition and the Doctors are doing multiple tests to figure out what is going on.
I am headed down to the hospital with Lisa, Kendra's best friend, to be there as a support.  Please pray that the Lord will calm my heart and give me wise words to give to my friend.  I am incredibly emotional right now(go figure) and need to "pull it together" for her sake.
For updates on the baby's progress please go to Kendra's blog.

You might have noticed that the song over on the side bar has been playing for quite some time. The words are so appropriate to what is going on in my life but now I pass those same words onto my dear sister in Christ as she walks through her dark valley.

God, my God, I cry out
Your beloved needs You now
God, be near, calm my fear
And take my doubt
Your kindness is what pulls me up
Your love is all that draws me in

CHORUS
I will lift my eyes to the Maker
Of the mountains I can't climb
I will lift my eyes to the Calmer
Of the oceans raging wild
I will lift my eyes to the Healer
Of the hurt I hold inside
I will lift my eyes, lift my eyes to You

God, my God, let Mercy sing
Her melody over me
God, right here all I bring
Is all of me

Because You are and You were and You will be forever
The Lover I need to save me
Because You fashioned the earth and You hold it together, God
So hold me now.

We are praying for baby Joe. And I've been praying for you too, Heather. I know that this has been a really tough week.-kathy

Pass on my love and prayers to Kendra! My eyes are full of tears as I think of them and their little blessing, Joe. Heather, may God give you the words or the lack thereof (sometimes all one needs in thest times is loving arms) and I know you will be an encouragement to both Kendra and her husband.

Of course if there is anything I can do please let me know. Otherwise the best thing I can do is bring them before the throne of grace.

love,
Valerie

I'm praying for God's healing hand upon this little one. I'll also pray that He will give you strength to hold your sister up at this time!

Heather,

I lifted Kendra and the baby up to the Lord and I prayed that you would have the strength to hold up your friend in her hour of need. It is so hard to understand when it is our friends.
