Whoohoo!

Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy the Olympic games? Last night you should have heard the kids and I as we watched the US men's swim team beat the French at the 400m freestyle relay. We were whooping and hollering as we realized that Jason Lezak was going to go for gold and establish a new world record (by four seconds!)

In other news, we will be heading home tomorrow. We have spent a whole week enjoying the beautiful weather in Central Oregon and being with our family. But, we are all very much wanting to go home and get back to straightening up the house and getting ready for the fall.

Yes, the Olympics are fun to watch. Your family ought to be a little tired of going places by this time, I should think. Be careful on the highways as you come home. Can't wait to hear from you after you get to your house. Nothing much happening with me except that I lost all the hair off the top of my head and all the way around the crown, from my bangs to the back and no one seems to be able to tell me what happened or whether or not it will grow back in. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. And the really great thing is that I don't need to worry about my hair being just perfect all the time. I've just been wearing a bandanna and, thank God, I still have bangs and hair over the ears and at the nape of my neck so no one can really tell there's no hair underneath the bandanna. This is about the weirdest thing I've ever had happen to me. But then again, I lost my hearing overnight and no one was able to determine why I went deaf so rapidly. But I'm not bummed about it. Ask me in a few weeks and you'll probably get an entirely different answer though. This is relatively still new to me. I lost all my hair a week ago today. Isn't that odd?
