Gleaning the Harvest

James 1:27
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

Matt and Jacque Dixon have started a ministry to help mothers who have been divorced or widowed but would still like to stay home with their children. As Ruth was able to glean from the fields of Boaz so this ministry helps these woman by letting others know of their financial need. If we truly believe that the ideal place for a woman is to be at home taking care of her children then why does this not apply to the single mother?
The Dixon family believes that the church can help these mothers who desire to stay home. I have been incredibly blessed with a husband who financially provided for us and a church that continues to support my family. But, I realize that not all women have the same provisions.
So, for those of you who might not know how to help those in need this is a great ministry to get involved with. I hope you will visit the Gleaning the Harvest and
